Once you’ve settled into the realization that you will have a new little human joining your family in just a few months, you may soon feel the need to start preparing for their BIG arrival! As a First-Time-Mom myself, I understand the overwhelm that comes with starting from scratch on allll the baby items needed. Each item has at least 20 different versions, and when there are 100s of items to research that’s a lot to consider! Which one do you pick? Obviously, we always go with what we feel is the best for our baby within our price range.
I spent countless hours and days researching all the things we’d need for our first baby. I added everything to our registry, and I’m so glad I did! We ended up not getting many needed items off our registry gifted to us from our baby shower. I felt a little defeated and the familiar overwhelm started to set in until I realized I had everything listed out on the registry for us to refer back to. So, we purchased the things we still needed off the registry after the shower took place.
As a fellow FTM, and after doing lots of research on everything needed for our baby girl I thought I could help others who may be feeling the same overwhelm by sharing our baby picks. At first, I was SET on getting one of those expensive brands that can keep you posted on the baby’s vitals all through an app on your phone. Keep in mind that all babies are different and will take to certain items better than others. I know this makes it hard in the beginning when trying to be prepared for baby’s arrival. For this reason, simplicity, in the beginning, is best. Then, add more/different items as you go and see what baby likes.
