My Favorite Holiday

Merry Christmas beautiful chic babes!! Christmas is officially HERE you guys!! I may be a little more excited than usual about Christmas this year because it’s mine and Richie’s first married Christmas together! Although we’ve had our home for 2 Christmases now there is just something a little extra (Okay a LOT extra) about your first Christmas as husband and wife. Growing up my family had a few Christmas traditions that will always be dear to my heart that I may share with you later 🙂 One tradition that Richie and I have started is with this fabulous Christmas tree that my M-I-L handed down to us. It’s a huge beautiful tree but it’s so old that we have to put it together branch by branch which has become a job for the hubs 😀 as follows. .

I’m so grateful he does this part for me but then graciously he let’s me do the rest.  Next comes spreading out the branches to get it full and filled out . . .

Since this is a branch by branch job we are not able to keep the lights on the tree when tearing it down so every year we have to add the lights separately after spreading the branches and making it nice and full. It’s a bit of a project but we all know the lights are what makes the tree come alive! . . .

Year by year we add a little more Christmas Decor to the collection

You may notice that I have a lot of bird ornaments 😀 Aren’t they the perfect ornament to put on a Christmas tree?

Ta-Da the finished product and all ready for Christmas morning!

We always think of Christmas as a time to give and receive gifts from our loved ones to celebrate the birth of our Savior when Jesus has given us the most wonderful gift of all and I am so grateful!   I hope everyone has the Merriest Christmas this year! May joy fill your hearts, cherish this time with loved ones, and feel at home wherever you end up this Christmas!
